Mozart Clarinet Quintet

by Colin Lawson (clarinet), Michael Harris (basset horn), The Revolutionary Drawing Room

The Revolutionary Drawing Room's recording of Mozart chamber music, with Colin Lawson of with clarinet, was greeted by some excellent reviews.

The Guardian praises the 'wonderful smoky smoothness' of Colin Lawson's tone (see here for full review online), while the Sunday Times notes: "Period-copy instruments by Daniel Bangham lend a piquancy both emotional and scholarly to this disc supplementing Mozart's sublime Quintet, K581, for basset clarinet in A and strings, with associated chamber fragments." (Sunday Times, 6th January 2013). The disc is also given 4 stars in The Week.
